Cheltenham Everyman

Last night my boyfriend and I went to watch our friends in a show at the Everyman theatre, along with another couple. It was in appreciation of a woman who had directed and produced 100s of shows, given us snippets of just some of them.

At the end they did a kind of This is your Life theme, with video messages from people who had gone on to Broadway and the West End.

It was a different Theatre experience and although I never knew the woman, you could definitely appreciate the dedication she had put into her life’s work.

As we had seats on the Balcony of Theatre, we could also appreciate our surroundings. The Theatre originally opened in 1891 and stands as a significant part of Cheltenham’s history, even Charlie Chaplin entered it’s doors. The auditorium is beautiful, you can’t help but gaze up and around to take it all in.
